Lake Township Chamber to Celebrate New Offices in Downtown Hartville
Hartville, Ohio — The Lake Township Chamber of Commerce has announced that it will move its offices to historic downtown Hartville at 115 Prospect Ave. South, in the space formerly leased by Lynn Michelle Design. After more than a decade of having the Chamber office located at Lake Local Schools, the Chamber board led by Dr. Chip Weisel decided earlier this year to move closer to the heart of downtown.
In the new space, staff will be more accessible and have enough room to hold meetings onsite. Besides being an office for the Chamber, it will include a conference room and information/welcome center for tourism and downtown foot traffic. The downtown area will become even more important as a community connector once the planned walking trail has been completed. Established in 1851, The Village of Hartville has a historic and pedestrian-scale charm unique within the Lake Township area. Offering over a dozen brick-and-mortar shops, it extends a warm welcome to visitors and residents alike. Adding a welcome center to downtown significantly reinforces this friendly neighborhood mindset that Hartville is known for.
“We are excited to make this move and to be downtown,” stated Weisel. “It has been a collaborative effort between the Chamber, Dave and Joanne Miller, Hartville Hardware, and Rembrandt Homes, who has provided the labor for the renovation.”
Open House and Business After Hours
The new office and welcome center will be open by the end of August, with an Open House and Business After Hours scheduled for Wednesday, August 30, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Chamber members and the community are welcome to come to the new offices and meet chamber staff, board members, and area business leaders.
Chamber office hours will expand to Tuesday through Friday, 9 am - 3 pm, with the possibility of occasional Saturday hours for special events.
