Lake Township Chamber Announces Small Business MicroGrant Program
Hartville, Ohio — The Lake Township Chamber of Commerce has developed a MicroGrant Program to assist member small businesses. The Chamber will award Small Business Development MicroGrants of up to $1,000 to each approved small business. Grants will be awarded for use toward programs or projects that will grow or develop a small business.
This MicroGrant Program aims to follow the chamber’s mission of promoting the success and growth of businesses by reinforcing the achievements of small business owners in Lake Township, which includes Greentown, Hartville, and Uniontown. The MicroGrants are available to business owners seeking to grow or develop their businesses. Grant funds may be used for marketing, business coaching, renovation, or equipment. The MicroGrant funds are limited to $1,000 per applicant/business per year.
Small Business Development MicroGrants criteria are as follows:
- Applicant must be the primary member of the Lake Chamber for at least one (1) year, and membership dues must be current
- Applicant must be the owner of the for-profit small business, and the business must have a physical location in Lake Township
- Applicant must have at least two (2) years of owning and operating the business in Lake Township
- Grant dollars may not represent more than 50% of the total cost of the desired project or program

Grant Cycle and Guidelines
For the purposes of this grant, a small business is defined as having up to ten (10) employees.
- The application deadline is August 31, 2023
- Determination will be made by September 15, 2023
- Funds will be disbursed by October 1, 2023
- Funds must be spent by December 31, 2023
